Chandra Bocci (b. 1979) grew up in rural Oregon with lots of siblings and animals.  She is an artist and maker of things, and has worked many different jobs in her life, from building window displays to teaching preschool.

She attended Pacific Northwest College of Art and Parsons School of Design. Her "Gummi Big Bang" was featured at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in 2009 and in the Oregon Biennial at the Portland Art Museum in 2006. She has exhibited in L.A., New York, Boston, and Oakland, CA.

Chandra is currently working on a children's book entitled “Messy Gorillas”, for which she dressed her husband in a gorilla suit. She is based in New York City.
